Vitola: Robusto

Wrapper: Sumatra

Origin: USA

Thanks again to Willy Herrera at El Titan de Bronze for letting me get a chance to review some of their fine cigars.  Next up, the El Titan de Bronze Gold Robusto!

This is a great looking looking cigar with barely visible veins.  It looks like it’s going to be a nice smooth mild smoke.

It has a good even burn which generates lots of smoke that has a nice woody and coffee aroma.  This is on fact a mild cigar and you could smoke this puppy early in the morning with some toast or even at lunch.

This is a great tasting cigar too.  It is creamy with just a touch of pepper on the finish to give it a little”kick”.  This robusto also gives off some woody notes and there is light coffee  on the finish.

Great flavors & great construction!  Another solid cigar from the folks at El Titan de Bronze.

Vitola:  Torpedo

Wrapper:  Brazilian Maduro

Origin: USA

The folks at El Titan de Bronze were nice enough to send me some samples of their products.  The Grand Reserve Maduro is their Maduro entry.

This is not your standard looking Maduro.  It is more Colorado Maduro in color, but does not have the rumpled or mottled-ness of many Brazilian wrappers.  It takes a clip well and has an easy pre-light draw.

This is a short little Belicoso.  It has a nice milk chocolate brown wrapper that is satiny to the touch and is slightly firm with ample give.

As  I smoke this I get some earthiness, a little spice and an underlying sweetness.  The finish is long and there are some metallic notes on the finish.

The cigar burns perfectly and gives off ample smoke and shows great construction and craftsmanship.

I’m not much of a Maduro fan but I really enjoyed this cigar.  I’d love to try one of the longer sizes so I can pick up more of the complexity this little fellah showed me.  Thanks to the folks at El Titan de Bronze!

Vitola:  Robusto

Wrapper:  Ecuadorian Sun Grown Habano

Origin: USA

The folks at El Titan de Bronze were nice enough to send me some samples of their products.  The Redemption is their fuller bodied entry.

This is a great looking cigar.  It has that dull sheen and a slightly spongy feel.  It takes a punch well and has an easy pre-light draw.

This robusto is spicier than the Redemption Lancero.  The robusto must have more ligero than the thin lancero.

The Robusto has a nice back of the tongue spice that is subtle.  It also has a long finish which is   slightly try on the palate.

The flavors are rich with leather, tobacco and wood.  This is a really good cigar.  I think I like the lancer size better, but this was still pretty tasty.  I hope to get some more of these, as I’d love to see how they age.  Thanks again to the folks at El Titan de Bronze for letting me try their products!
